Attends Inuagration of Rural Haat
Urged youth to become self sufficient taking benefits of Government schemes
Bandipora June 29: The Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr. Owais Ahmed on Wednesday presided over a public interaction programme at Panzigam Bandipora under Block Diwas initiative of LG administration.
On the occasion the general public presented issues of public importance before the deputy commissioner.
Issues pertaining to electricity, roads, water supply and other issues of public importance were raised on the occasion.
Th deputy commissioner after giving patient hearing to issues of public passed on spot direction for redressal of various issues and assured redressal of all other genuine issues in time bound manner.
The deputy commissioner on the occasion also attended e- Inaugration of Rural Haat established at Panzigam Bandipora.
The Rural Haat is established under National Flagship Programme Deen Dayal Antyodaya Yojana National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM).
On the occasion he appreciated the efforts of NRLM and urged the youth to become self sufficient and self reliant taking full benefits of Government schemes.
The Rural Haat facility is provided for Marketing of self made local products supporting facilities of
Krishi sakhi, pashu sakhi and digi pay sakhi etc under UMEED Sakhsham Naari Ki Pehchaan.
The Rural Haat is a market facility for SHGs working under JK rural livelihood mission.
The Rural Livlihood mission started its operation in 2014 in Bandipora District and covered all blocks involving 17906 households and 2132 SHGs.
The DC also inspected various stalls displaying local products established by SHGs working under NRLM.
