Crime Branch (CBJ) arrests fraudster from Jodhpur (Rajasthan) for duping the complainant to the tune of Rs. 1.69 Crore

Jammu : Crime Branch Jammu arrested fraudster – Parvin Kumar  Ninawe S/O  Krishan Rao Ninawe R/O  Choti Dhantoli, near Pervardhan Ground Renuka Mata Enclave Nagpur, Maharshtra from Jodhpur Rajasthan in case FIR NO. 45/2019 U/S 420, RPC P/S Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, now under investigation with Crime Branch Jammu for duping the complainant to the tune of Rs. 1,69,54,742/- on the pretext of providing supply of food grains. The fraudster was evading his arrest since long but the Crime Branch team with its coordinated efforts and meticulous planning succeeded in arresting the fraudster to face the investigation. The accused is involved in various other cases of fraud in different states across India, which includes fraud of Rs 40 lacs in Jodhpur, 12 lacs in Indore, 6. 50 lacs in Bathinda and case of fraud committed in Karnataka.

           A written complaint was lodged by Suresh Gupta S/o Ved Parkash Gupta R/o Krishna Nagar  Prop.  Shona  Trust  Corp.  Nehru Market Jammu in P/S Gandhi Nagar Jammu, alleging that one Parveen Niwane, offered him to supply food grains on advance payment of Rs. 3.11 Crores in the year 2009. The alleged  accused supplied  food grains valuing Rs. 1,41,45,258/-  and for remaining  amount of  Rs. 1,69,54,742/-  the suspect  issued  a  cheque  for an amount of  Rs. 60.00 lakh  but the  said cheque  got bounced  thus  the accused cheated  the complainant.

           The investigation of the case was transferred to Crime Branch J&K vide PHQ order No. 3487 of 2019 dated 14.09.2019. During further course of investigation, it came to fore that the accused was convicted in four cases under 138 NI Act by Judicial Magistrate 1st Class Chandigarh Punjab and is lodged in Central Jail Jodhpur. The request was made before this Hon’ble court for change of custody of said accused from Central Jail Jodhpur to CBJ. The Hon’ble court issued arrest warrant of accused u/s 25 Police Act with direction to Supdt. of Jail to hand over accused to Crime Branch Jammu for further investigation. The accused is on Police remand and further investigation is going on.
