Shopian Village Notified as Micro-Containment Zone

Srinagar, May 14:  District Magistrate Shopian has on Friday notified village Pahnoo as Micro-containment zones with immediate effect on detection of COVID positive cases, officials said.

The inward and outward movement to the affected village, falling in Tehsil Shopian, has been strictly restrained and people asked to stay indoors even as the adjacent villages (to the notified village) in the meantime declared as buffer zones, they told Srinagar-based news agency Global News Service (GNS).

Among a host of other measures, the officers of the line departments have been asked to ensure the availability of basic facilities to the affected populace till further orders, they added. (GNS)
