Youth arrested after jumping security naka in Shopian

SRINAGAR: Police on Tuesday arrested a person after he along with other person jumped a security naka at Pirpora area in south Kashmir’s Shopian

Official sources told GNS that the duo did not stop on being signalled by the personnel at the security naka. The cops fired few aerial rounds following which the motorcycle slipped few meters away from the naka.

While one person managed to escape, the other person was apprehended and has been identified as Mohammad Ashraf Sheikh (22) son of Abdul Rashid Sheikh of Arihal, Pulwama.

A police officer while confirming the incident said that investigations into the case have been initiated. (GNS).
