Srinagar, Sep 1, : Jammu and Kashmir is likely to experience generally hot and humid weather on Tuesday, with light to moderate rain and thundershowers expected at many places, according to the Meteorological Centre Srinagar.Brief spells of intense rainfall are likely in some areas, particularly in parts of the Jammu division during the early morning and late afternoon or evening hours. The weather office has cautioned that intense localized showers could trigger flash floods, mudslides and landslides.People living in vulnerable and landslide-prone areas have been advised to remain cautious during periods of intense rainfall.From September 2 to 10, weather conditions are expected to remain generally dry across Jammu and Kashmir, although brief spells of rain and thundershowers may occur at isolated to scattered places, mainly during the early morning and afternoon hours.The weather outlook indicates a gradual reduction in widespread rainfall activity after Tuesday, with isolated showers remaining possible in some areas during the period. [KNT]
