Reopening of Schools: Sensitization of Teaching staff held at Bandipora

Bandipora, Feb 25: Chief Education Office Bandipora on Thursday organised a sensitization programme for teachers at Mini-Secretariat Bandipora in view of the reopening of schools first time after the pandemic.

Chief Education Officer Bandipora, Javid Iqbal, Deputy Chief Education Officer GM Sheikh, Zonal Education Officers, Heads of Institutions and other senior officers of the district were present on the occasion.

On the occasion the teachers were sensitized about the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to be adopted by them in schools. The speakers appealed teachers for strict adherence to the SOPs and guidelines issued by the government to ensure a safe teaching learning environment in schools.

Chief Medical Officer Javid Iqbal said the schools are being opened in a phased manner as per the guidelines issued by the government and the department is all set to welcome students back to schools after a long time. He said all arrangements have been put in place to ensure smooth functioning of schools. He said teachers have been informed and sensitized about the SOPs.

He said special attention is being paid towards ensuring cleanliness and sanitation in Schools for the safety of children and the staff alike.
