Budgam March 12: A man died after a branch of a poplar fell on him in Beerwah area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Saturday.
Official sources told Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that a labourer identified as Abdul Hamid Dar (52) son of Mohammad Akbar, a resident of Churpora Budgam was cutting down a poplar tree along with some other labourers near Sodipora Beerwah when a branch of the tree fell on him and died on spot.
A police officer confirmed the incident to KDC and said the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites. (KDC)
