Jammu, May 6, : Jammu’s Chest Disease Hospital has been facing acute shortage of beds after the massive influx of Covid-19 infected patients.
A video pertaining to the hospital is on viral showing that Covid-19 patients getting treated on the ground and on stair-cases.
A medico at CD Hospital Jammu admitted that patients are being treated in the park, floor and stair-cases as all the hospital beds are occupied by Covid-19 infected patients.
“The situation is really grim. More and more Covid-19 patients are visiting hospital. We are not being able to admit patients as there are no beds available. However, all kinds of assistance are being provided to such patients are not finding any bed for themselves in the hospital,” he told news agency Kashmir News Trust.
Pertinently, Jammu Division has been witnessing more than thousand Covid-19 cases on daily basis. This has overburdened the hospitals across Jammu Division. (KNT)
