Srinagar: Authorities on Monday seized four shops of Food Business Operators in Anantnag district of south Kashmir
“Today, a team of Food Safety Officers of District, Anantnag, inspected various premises in and around Anantnag town. During inspection, four Food business operators’ viz., S.S Enterprises Lazibal Anantnag (Ice cream dealer), Gull Khan and Sons (KP Road Anantnag), Canteen Govt. Women’s College Anantnag, and District Hospital Canteen Anantnag were found to be operating their business without the license that is required under law,” an official of the Food Safety told GNS.
In addition the above mentioned canteen’s were found to be violating other provisions of FSSA, 2006 like lack of infrastructure, poor hygiene, sale of junk foods in the college premises, the official said.
These FBO’s were directed to obtain the required license with a time period of 2 days failing which action as warranted under law shall be initiated, he added. (GNS)
