Bandipora : District Legal Services Authority Bandipora in coordination with Tehsil Legal Services Committee Gurez under the guidance of Chairmanship of
Pr. Distt. & Session Judge Bandipora Javeed Ahmad Geelani on Wednesday organized an Awareness Camp regarding “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” at Dawar Gurez.
The programme was organised in collaboration with Govt. Girls Hr. Secondary School Dawar Gurez.
The programme was inaugurated by Secretary/Sub-Judge DLSA Bandipora
Fariqa Nazir along with SDPO Gurez Bashir Ahmad, Principle Govt Girls Higher Sec. School Dawar Gurez, Mohd Younis Lone, and Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Gurez.
The main objective of the programme was to create awareness among the audience about the importance of Girl Child and discourage them against the female foeticide, a cancer for the society. There was a large enthusiasm among the teachers and the students for the programme. Students expressed their views through speeches and cultural activities on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, and Drug Abuse.
Secretary DLSA Fariqa Nazir sensitized the audience about the evil effects of Drug Abuse and eradication of Drug Menace.
The programme witnessed participation of Students, Teachers, officials of DLSA Bandipora/TLSC Gurez and Para Legal Volunteers.
On the occasion District Legal Services Authority Bandipora also distributed the prizes among the participants.
