‘Srinagar records 14 cases’, active cases 1,320 in J&K
Srinagar : Jammu and Kashmir Monday reported 57 fresh cases of Covid-19, taking the number of active cases to 1,320 while no more death was reported in the UT in the last 24 hours and the death toll stands at 4,782.
An official told that among 57 new cases, 46 belong to Kashmir division while as 11 to Jammu division.
He said that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir have reached to 303,889 including 300,425 recoveries and 2,432 deaths, while total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 173,624 including 170,986 recoveries and 2,350 deaths.
He further said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,320 including 1,032 from Kashmir division and 288 from Jammu division.
With 286 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in J&K has reached to 471,411 which is 98.73 percent of the total cases.
“Among the fresh 57 cases today, 14 are from Srinagar, 16 from Baramulla, 05 from Budgam, 05 from Pulwama 02 from Kupwara, 00 from Anantnag, 02 from Bandipora, 00 from Ganderbal, 02 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while 11 are from Jammu division that include 09 from Jammu district, 01 from Udhampur, 01 from Rajouri, 00 from Doda, 00 from Kuthua , 00 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” said the official.
As per the daily information bulletin 6,698,737 persons in J&K are under observation while 159 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides 1,320 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 6,692,094 persons have completed the surveillance period and 382 persons are under home surveillance besides so far results of 26,439,963 samples are available.
“Out of 26,439,963 the number of samples tested negative stands at 25,962,450 while 477,513 have tested positive, among them 1,320 cases are active, 471,411 have recovered and 4,782 persons have died,” it added—(KNO)
