Puducherry, Nov7 : Three buses, owned by the Puducherry Road Transport Corporation (PRTC), were gutted in a fire early on Tuesday.
According to sources, due to lack of space at the PRTC workshop behind the New bus stand, 11 buses were taken to the workshop of Tamil Nadu Road Transport Corporation on the Maramalai Adigal Saalai nearby and parked for the night.Early this morning, fire was noticed in one bus and the security personnel tried to douse it, but failed following which fire department was informed.
Fire service personnel from Puduchrrry town manged to put the fire out but by that time, three buses were gutted.
Orleanpet police registered a case.
