Sumbal students protest, demand admission in college

Bandipora : The recently 12th class pass out students Monday staged a protest against the authorities of Government Degree College Sumbal in Bandipora district for not getting the admission in the college.

The protesting students said that they are not getting admission in the 1st semester of this year’s session as the vacancy has been completed.

“We have been coming here for the last fifteen days to get admission in the first semester but we are being told that the admission vacancy has been completed, ” They said.

“We want to tell the college administration that if you can’t admit us, so tell us where to go, which college we will get admission despite the fact that all of us live in Sumbal areas, ” Ronak Maqbool, a female student said.

She said that she have been coming the college continuously for the last seven days but she is still not getting admission in the first semester as she is being informed by the college authorities that the number of  admission has been completed.

Zuhaib, another worried student, said that he too has been denied the admission by the administration.

“I request the college administration to resolve this issue as soon as possible, ” he said.

The protesters demanded immediate resolve of this issue so that their future may not suffer further.

Meanwhile, the college authorities said that they have informed the higher authorities regarding the issue and within few  days the matter will be resolved. (KNO)
