New Delhi, Oct 19 : She wowed cinegoers with her spunky act as young Geeta who helps realise her father’s dream of winning the National championship in wrestling.
In ‘Secret Superstar’, her second film after the highly acclaimed ‘Dangal’, Zaira Wasim comes up with another moving portrayal as the aspiring singer Insia who works against odds to achieve her dream .Set in Baroda, ‘Secret Superstar’ is the story of the Muslim girl Insia (Zaira) studying in tenth standard who wants to become a singer but faces restrictions from her conservative father (Raj Arjun). He mother (Meher Vij), however, supports her in pursuit of her dreams but has no say before her husband.
Insia happens to meet music director named Shakti Kumar (Aamir Khan), who was a successful music director at one time but is now going through a lean phase.
