PDP Seeks compensation to hailstorm affected in Kupwara

Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed concern over the damage caused to standing crop due to hailstrom in upper belet of Kupwara.

In a statement issued here,Party Additional Spokesperson Tahir Sayeed demanded comprehensive compensation to the orchardists and farmers who suffered heavy losses due to heavy hailstorm.

Tahir urged the district administration Kupwara to go for immediate assessment of damages to paddy and other crops and to provide financial relief to the affected people.

He expressed his sympathies with the farmer and horticulturists of Panzgam,Manzgam,Aalosa , Pachkote,Alichizab,Zurhama, Ladrawan Marhama and other affected villages
