NEW DEHLI: International Kick Boxing Champion Tajamul Islam, who had urged the government for indoor facilities for athletes in J&K in a viral video, meets Sports Minister Vijay Goel.

He said, “I had written to Mehbooba Mufti (J-K CM), when I saw Tajamul’s post, to provide facilities in order to promote kick boxing.” A smiling Tajamul said she was grateful to the government. “I want all children like me to gain recognition in the field of kickboxing.”.

Tajamul Islam scripted history at the World Kickboxing Championship in Italy, where she made India proud by becoming the first player ever from the sub-junior category to clinch a gold medal.
