Srinagar December 3rd, 2022:A meeting was chaired by Hon’ble Mayor Mr.Junaid Azim Mattu and Commissioner SMC,Dr.Bashir Ahmad Bhat (IRS), today in Commissioner’s meeting Hall to discuss the arrangements and preparations of “My Town My Pride” programme.The meeting was attended by Joint Commissioner (S), Joint Commissioner (Works), joint Commissioner (P),Secretary SMC , F/A CAO, Health Officer and other Senior officials from SMC.
Taking stock of the status of ongoing Jan Abiyan Programme in each administrative wards, the Hon’ble Mayor discussed the programme thread bare. During the meeting commissioner SMC directed all ward officers to make the programme successful through the maximum participation of general public in the programme.”Use loudspeakers to make announcements at public places so that people attend the programe,” the Hon’ble Mayor said. Asking the concerned nodal officers designated for “MY Town My Pride’”programme,to visit their designated wards personally , the Hon’ble Mayor directed the officials to work from the ground zero to make the programme more effective.
The already identified eight locations for two day programme on “My town My pride”, all ward officers were directed to make sure the preparations are done in time.Mr Mattu ,reiterated that “the purpose of the programme is governance at doorstep” Hon’ble Mayor said.
During the meeting, Hon’ble Mayor directed the ward officers to invite local Mohalla Committees in the programme. Mr.Mattu further stressed upon all ward officers to make involvement of NGO’s especially senior citizens possible. He further directed to make installation of stalls and banners in the eight identified locations possible.
Pointing out the redressal of grievances received from the general masses, the Hon’ble Mayor directed all officers to list out the number of tasks executed during the programme including issuance of Domocile certificates, birth/death certificates, issuance of building permissions,golden Cards,installation of lights in the respective wards.
