Bandipora 05 May: Bandipora police received a specific information through reliable sources that wheat flour meant for distribution through the public distribution system (PDS) has been illegally procured in Banakote area for further sale in private open market.
Acting swiftly,a special police team led by SHO PS Pethkote INSP. Tanveer Ahmad under the supervision of DYSP Hqrs Bandipora Shri Mohmmad Idress-JKPS was constituted by SSP Bandipora Shri Mohammad Zahid -JKPS.The team laid a surprise naka at Chopan Mohalla Banakote and recovered 75 Bags of wheat flour from a vehicle.
In this connection Case FIR No.16/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered in PS Pethkote and the vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
During preliminary investigation it surfaced that the flour was being illegally procured for further sale in private market.Further investigation of the Case is going on and more arrests are expected.
