Bandipora 06 May 2021: Bandipora Police continuing its war against the menace of drugs arrested a drug peddler in Shadipora Sumbal and recovered psychotropic substances from his possession.
Acting on a specific information a police party of Police Station Sumbal led by SHO P/S Sumbal, under the supervision of SDPO Sumbal Shri Surinder Mohan-JKPS ,during a Naka checking at Shadipora arrested one person and recovered from his possession 40 Bottles of Z-REX (Codeine Phosphate) 100 ML each and Dicyclomine Hydrochloride and Acetaminophen Capsule = 24x6x4= 576 Capsules in 04 boxes .The accused has been identified as Mohammad Younis Malla S/O Mohammad Yaqoob Malla R/O Shilvat Sumbal.
During preliminary enquiry it was revealed that the accused was drug peddler and was selling the drugs to youths of the area at exorbitant rates and make them drug addicts. Accordingly case FIR No. 55/2021 under relevant sections of NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Sumbal and further investigation has been taken up.
