Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) youth president , Waheed-Ur-Rehman Parra said our youth need proper grooming in order to harness their true potential.
“We have been providing every platform to youth, so that they can showcase their talent and capabilities. Whether it is sports, education and creative arts, our focus is to make them better and successful citizens,” he said while addressing a youth meeting in Pulwama.
He said unless we create spaces for intellectual growth of youth the society can’t progress and flourish. “There has to be an engagement at multiple levels with them, only then we can find a lasting peace on the ground. Our youth need respect and dignity and we trying to ensure that,” he added.
Parra said PDP understands the aspirations and issues of our youth, and it is creating an enabling environment for their growth and progress.
“Youth are our asset. J&K can progress only when its youth are educated and employed. The Chief Minister is working on series of initiatives to create meaningful and respectable job avenues for them. We will stand by our youth and pave way for a prosperous future for them,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, senior party leader and MP (Rajya Sabha) Fayaz Ahmad Mir said the PDP leadership is committed to see J&K as a prosperous and peaceful region. “Everyone has to come together and support our government so that it can lead the state to newer heights,” he said.
