ASSAM: Jammu and Kashmir Dragon Boat women team has won gold medal in 500 meters event in Assam. The team participated in 8th Dragon Boat National Championship in Assam.
Thirty two member men and women teams of Dragon boat from Jammu and Kashmir is in Assam these days participating in the National Championship. J&K men and Women teams have qualified for the finals of two more events and there is possibility that the team may win two more medals for J&K.
The Championship has been organised by Dragon Boat Federation of India and Assam Dragon Boat Association. President J&K Dragon Boat Association MS Panu has congratulated the team for the outstanding performance at the National Level.
Panu said that despite limited resources and lack of equipment, J&K team has brought laurels for the State. He expressed hope that J&K team would win two more medals in the championship.
