Fruit Mandi Sopore President Visits Residence; Offers Condolences over Demise of Senior Journalist Irfan Quraishi’s Father-in-Law

SOPORE — Prominent political personality and President of the Kashmir Fruit Mandi Sopore, Fayaz Ahmad Malik (popularly known as Kakaji), today visited the residence of the deceased, Pir Saif-u-Din Sahib, at Alsafa Colony, Sopore.

The visit was paid to offer heartfelt condolences and deep solidarity on his sad demise. Pir Saif-u-Din Sahib, who passed away after a brief illness, was the father-in-law of senior journalist Irfan Ahmad Quraishi.
During his visit, Fayaz Ahmad Malik met with Irfan Quraishi and other members of the bereaved family to offer his profound sympathies, describing the demise as an irreparable loss to both the family and the entire socio-economic fabric of Sopore.

Pir Saif-u-Din Sahib notably served as the former General Secretary of the Auqaf Committee Neharpora, Sopore, where he played a pivotal role in managing local affairs, community harmony, and institutional integrity.
Furthermore, he was a veteran, hardworking, and deeply respected pillar of the Fruit Mandi Sopore fraternity. His unblemished reputation for honesty, humility, and dedicated service made him a trusted voice among the valley’s trade circles.
Reflecting on his life, Fayaz Ahmad Malik stated:

“Pir Saif-u-Din Sahib was a man of absolute integrity, kindness, and simplicity. Whether leading community initiatives through the Auqaf Committee or contributing to the growth of our trading hub, his warmth and compassionate nature touched countless lives. His absence leaves a profound void that will be felt for a long time to come.”

The trade leader and political figure joined in special prayers for the departed soul, supplicating before Almighty Allah to grant him the highest echelons in Jannat-ul-Firdous, forgive his shortcomings, and bestow ultimate patience (Sabr) and strength upon the grieving family to bear this monumental loss.
