Surprise search operation launched in Srinagar market

Srinagar: Joint Forces Wednesday cordoned off Gawkadal area of Srinagar city and conducted random searches.

Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that police and CRPF personnel from 132 Battalion arrived in Gawkadal area and started a search operation.

They said that pedestrians were frisked. Vehicles were stopped and searched.

They said the search party didn’t find anything objectionable and no arrests were made during the operation. (KNT)
