The media persons were covering the post Friday clashes between protesters and security forces when police personnel’s allegedly thrashed them without any provocation. “There were protests in the area. We were doing our professional duty when some cops start abusing and thrashing us without any provocation”, one of the beaten scribe said.

The media men alleged that police also abused and chased them away from the spot of clashes. The media person have threaten to hit the streets if stern action is not taken against the erring cops.
