SOPORE — Former Cabinet Minister and Senior Vice President of the Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Conference (JKPC), Abdul Gani Vakil, today visited the residence of the deceased, Peer Saif-u-Din Sahib, at Alsafa Colony, Sopore, to extend his condolences.
Peer Saif-u-Din Sahib, who passed away after a brief illness, was the father-in-law of senior journalist Irfan Ahmad Quraishi.
During his visit, the senior leader met with Irfan Quraishi and other members of the bereaved family to share their grief during this hour of immense loss and mourning.
Vakil described the deceased as a noble, pious, and widely respected personality whose warmth, community service, and integrity earned him immense regard in society. He stated that the passing of such a dedicated elder leaves a profound void not only for the family but for the entire locality.
The veteran leader offered special prayers for the deceased, supplicating before Almighty Allah to grant the departed soul the highest place in Jannah (Jannat-ul-Firdous). He also prayed for ultimate patience, strength, and solace for the grieving family to bear this irreparable loss.
