KATHUA: To demand separate statehood for Jammu, National Panthers Party has started a ‘yatra’ to seek mass support from the different districts of Jammu. The ‘Haq-Insaaf yatra’ started from Kathua district and is being led by NPP State President Balwant Singh Mankotia.
During the yatra Mankotia announced that Panthers Party will constitute Panchayat level statehood committees to seek support of the people who believe in India and Jammu separate state.
Reports from Kathua district said that while addressing a series of rallies at Pathbal, Sherpur, Jandi, Ratanpur, Salaada panchayats of Hiranagar, Balwant Singh Mankotia said his party will fight tooth and nail to achieve the separate statehood for Jammu region. “We have already constituted more than 50 Panchayat Statehood Committees to garner the support for the separate Jammu State. We have charted out a detailed plan for separate statehood for Jammu for next six months,” Mankotia told CNS.
He added that NPP will soon launch protests and dharnas in favour of their demand.
