SRINAGAR : After remaining closed for six months due to heavy snowfall, the Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag highway – connecting Kishtwar district in Chenab valley with Kashmir province – is likely to open for traffic onJune 3, officials said today.
The snow clearance work on the road is in progress and it is expected to be completed before June 3, said an official.
“We are only two kilometers away from the Sinthan Top and from Kashmir side, they have already cleared snow till Sinthan,” he said. The road was closed in November last year due to heavy snowfall.
