SRINAGAR— Arshid Mir, Editor of the Kashmir Headlines newspaper, has expressed profound grief and heartfelt condolences over the sad demise of Pir Saif-u-Din Sahib, who passed away after a brief illness at his residence in Alsafa Colony, Sopore. The deceased was the father-in-law of senior journalist Irfan Ahmad Quraishi.
In his condolence message, Arshid Mir extended his deepest sympathies to Irfan Quraishi and the entire bereaved family during this time of immense grief and mourning. He described the deceased as a noble, kind-hearted, and pious soul who earned immense respect in society for his humility and upright character.
He further noted that Pir Saif-u-Din Sahib’s selfless contributions as the former General Secretary of the Auqaf Committee Neharpora, Sopore, and as a veteran pillar of the Fruit Mandi fraternity will always be remembered.
“We stand in absolute solidarity with our esteemed colleague Irfan Ahmad Quraishi and his family in this hour of deep sorrow. The loss of a respected elder is a profound grief, and the entire journalistic fraternity shares this pain,” Mir stated.
The Editor prayed to Almighty Allah to look upon the deceased with mercy, forgive his shortcomings, and grant the departed soul the highest place in Jannah (Jannat-ul-Firdous). He also prayed for ultimate patience, strength, and Sabr-e-Jameel for the grieving family to bear this irreparable loss.
