Srinagar: Dr. Mujahid Ahmad a 2013 batch Associate Professor of Geography, who was recently elevated to the prestigious post Principal has assumed the charge of Principal GDC Qazigund.
Dr Mujahid Ahmad has been the Head, Post Graduate Department of Geography at Amar Singh College Srinagar and Dean, School of Social Sciences, Cluster University Srinagar for a pretty long time. With the joining of a regular principal a new chapter of development is all set start in this far-flung higher education institute. The people, students and staff hailed the decision of the government and gave a warm welcome to the new principal of the college with high expectations of academic excellence and other developmental activities.
Dr Mujahid Ahmad accompanied by Former Director Colleges, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Chatt, Prof. Maqsood Ahmad, Prof. Abdul Hai, Dr. Jan Shabir Ahmad and his other well wishers, was recived at GDC Qazigund by Principal GDC Anantnag Prof. Muzaffar Ahmad Bhat, who was holding the additional charge of Principal GDC Qazigund.
It is in place to mention here that Qazigund which is at the distance of around 80 kms from the summer capital Srinagar, located on both sides of NH1A in the lofty foot hills of Peer Panchal and is commonly known as as Gate Way of Kashmir.
