Leh, March 22: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Leh, Shrikant Suse finished his two-day tour to Nubra. The sub-division level officer of Nubra accompanied DC Leh during the two-day tour.
On the second day, DC Leh Shrikant Suse addressed the public at Hunder that comprised representatives and villagers from the neighbouring village of Diskit. DC Leh also held a meeting at Bogdang and listened to the grievances and issues of the villagers. Later, he participated in the Nauroz celebrations at Turtuk as the chief guest. Enchanting cultural performances, including famous sword dance, balti folk song and dance performance, were performed during the Nauroz celebrations.
DC Leh also participated in the Nauroz-week celebrations at Taykshi village organised by the Balti Youth’s Initiative on Climate and Social Change Taykshi (Nubra) in collaboration with the Nehru Yuva Kendra, Leh, District Youth Services and Sports, Ladakh and Ladakh Cultural Academy. A polo-match and a tug of war competition were organised during the event.
DC Leh gave prizes to the players and the participants.
