Bandipora 03 May :- Bandipora police and civil administration continueing their efforts against illegal mining under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad -IAS and SSP Bandipora Shri Mohammad Zahid -JKPS seized 03 vehicles and detained 10 persons in SK Bala Ajas Sumbal for illegal extraction/ transportation of minerals.
Bandipora police recieved a specific information that some persons are illegally extracting minerals at SK Bala Ajas.Acting on this information police team of PP Ajas led by DO Police Post Ajas INSP. Qaiser Bashir along with teams of Mining and Geology Department seized 03 vehicles and detained 10 persons .The said vehicles were being used in transportation of minerals illegally extracted.In this connection legal proceedings under IPC and MMRD Acts against the violators has been initiated and further investigation has been taken up.
Bandipora police appeals public not to indulge in illegal extraction of sand and other minerals from any Nalla/stream, violators will be dealt strictly under law.
