Matter taken up with higher-ups, macadamisation will start soon
Ganderbal : Residents of Badampora area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district Thursday alleged that the roads are in a dilapidated condition due to the use of sub standardized material and ironically link roads are being macadamized while main road is in shambles.
The residents told that the poor road conditions have caused numerous problems for the residents which include increasing the travel time besides water logging. The locals also accused the administration of failing to macadamize this vital road. “The road is lying in shambles for a long time,” they said.
The residents said that during rainy days it becomes almost impossible to even to walk on this road with the result that students are unable to go to the schools during bad weather.
Meanwhile, the locals appealed authorities to look into their grievances so that they will not face inconvenience
Talking to KNO, R&B Executive Engineer Tatheer Manzoor said the estimate of 1.25 km had been made in November last year. “In addition, we forwarded another estimate to higher ups and the road will be macadamized when we will get funds,” he said—(KNO)
