During intervening night of 23/24.03.2021 Police party of Police Station Katra was busy in routine Naka checking duty at PCP Balani. One Tata mobile vehicle bearing reg. No JK19-3730 driven by unknown driver which was coming from Reasi towards Katra Udhampur was stopped for checking purpose. The driver of vehicle with criminal intention tried to kill Police officials on Naka duty by breaking Naka barrier and fled away. The Police party chased and caught the vehicle at village Dhanouri but taking the advantage of darkness driver of the vehicle escaped from spot. Police seized the involved vehicle and rescued 08 numbers of bovine animals which were loaded in said vehicle in cruel manner. In this regard case FIR No. 55/2021 u/s 307/188 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Katra and search of accused is going on
