Amid Covid-19 pandemic, NGOs provide helping hand orphans, destitute

Srinagar, May 04 : In tough times of Covid-19 pandemic, Kashmir based NGO’s are working twenty-four seven to provide essentials to people in need.

Talking with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) Chairman of Athrout Bashir Nadwi said it is a tough time but one has to perform duty of serving needy and orphans.

Imtiyaz who is taking care of NGO Darus Slam said that the lack of oxygen supply is the biggest problem at the present time.

“Though we are facing shortage of donations because of pandemic but supplying oxygen is our main priority,” he said.

Muneer Ahmed, member of NGO Helping Hand said, “even we are receiving less donations due to pandemic but we already have budget for this year so needy people will not suffer.”

“We have added beneficiaries account details and are going to transfer amount in their bank accounts,” he said.

Since the Coronavirus outbreak, NGOs are working hand to hand to provide medical supplies, ambulance and support to patients, and also provide relief in cash to families—(KNO)
