Srinagar: Umar Foundation Charitable Trust Srinagar based NGO observed Annual Convocation at Vision School of education, Lal Bazar Srinagar in impressive gathering. In the convocation UKF highlighted their efforts and responsibilities towards the society during the year 2020-21.
UKF described the hardships faced by the people during lockdown & covid period and they tried to reach out every family whenever a call received by them. The persons associated with UKF mission with the help of generous people vow that their sincere & dedicated efforts will continue to wipe out the tears from every eye in the society.
Chairman, UKF also disclosed their programme in the coming year of establishment of Hospital Dispensary & Ambulance for the needy people and generous help to the foundation in the month of Holy Ramazan.
At the outset of the convocation Shabir Ahmad Shah, Author & Columnist highlighted the importance of volunteerism. He mentioned in his speech that a person associate himself with a voluntary organization is an asset for the society and his status increases among the people with his dedication & honesty towards the society.
He further, said that volunteerism also help a volunteer in his personal life at his business places, offices & other public interaction. Shabir Ahmad Shah also stress about the empowerment & unit establishment by financial assistance in the society so that work culture will improve.
Another speaker Nazim Nazir, Editor said that a volunteer will be benefited in this world and hereafter by the almighty. Khalid Hussain,, Co-ordinator Karvan highlighted the need of co-ordination between the NGO’s working in Kashmir to reach out to every needy person in the society.
Many other speakers also spoke about the importance of voluntary organizations at present for genuine benefit of the society. At last Mufti Nisar Ahmad Qasmi, who was the chief guest deliberated upon need to reach out to the needy people in the light of Islam so that hunger, financial disturbance & social evils will be wiped from the society.
