Central Kashmir:Nocturnal Encounter breaks out in Srinagar

Srinagar: A Nocturnal gunfight has started between militants and government forces in Methan area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Saturday.

Reports reaching GNS that a joint team of Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Methan.

As the joint team of forces encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight.

A senior police officer also confirmed to GNS about exchange of firing between militants and security forces.

Pertinently, one militant of LeT was killed on Friday evening in a brief shootout with police in Natipora area.(GNS)
