Srinagar: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, P K Pole Friday said that every Panchayat in Jammu and Kashmir will have playgrounds, adding that 80 per cent among them have been completed.
Talking to reporters on the side-lines of the sports event here, Pole as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that the playgrounds have been established in 80 per cent of the panchayats in the Valley.
He said that the land is being identified for rest of the playfields in other panchayats, saying that the grounds will be established under MNREGA or other schemes.
Also, Indoor Stadiums have been constructed in every district and are functional now.
Pole said that since the Covid second wave has started decreasing, the sports events are being organized across the Valley, adding that almost 300 children participated in the events organized in the last couple of days.
