Budgam, : Police in Central Kashmir’s Budgam area arrested a militant associate while he was carrying posters of banned militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba.
The militant associate identified as Fayaz Amin Bhat, a resident of Hakurmulla was apprehended at a check point established by Police and CRPF personnel from 43 Battalion at Harren Saibug area of Budgam.
A police official that the man tried to escape when asked to stop and during search, posters of LeT were recovered from him.
He said that during questioning he confessed that he was providing logistic support to militants in the area and was in touch with LeT militants across and in this part of Kashmir.
An FIR vide number 152/2021 has been registered against the said militant associate and he has been booked under Unlawful Activities Prevention Act. (KNT)
