SOPORE — Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, and Cooperative Department, Javid Ahmad Dar, today visited the residence of senior journalist Irfan Ahmad Quraishi at Alsafa Colony, Sopore, to express his profound grief and condolences over the demise of Quraishi’s father-in-law, Pir Saif-u-Din Sahib.
During his visit, the Cabinet Minister met with Irfan Quraishi and other members of the bereaved family, extending his heartfelt sympathies and solidarity with them during this hour of immense loss and mourning.
Javid Ahmad Dar described the deceased as a noble, upright, and deeply respected personality who contributed immensely to society, particularly through his past role as General Secretary of the Auqaf Committee Neharpora, Sopore, and as a veteran pillar of the local Fruit Mandi.
Prominent Religious Scholar Peerzada Mohd Shafi Also Visits
Separately, prominent religious scholar Peerzada Mohd Shafi also visited the residence today to offer his condolences to Irfan Quraishi and the family. He threw light on the pious and compassionate nature of Pir Saif-u-Din Sahib, describing him as a soul dedicated to community welfare and religious values.
Both the Cabinet Minister and the esteemed religious scholar joined the family in offering special prayers for the deceased. They supplicated before Almighty Allah to look upon the departed soul with infinite mercy, grant him the highest echelons in Jannat-ul-Firdous, and bestow fortitude, patience, and Sabr-e-Jameel upon the grieving family to bear this irreparable loss.
