Bandipora: In a moment of pride for north Kashmir, Anayat Bashir Sheikh from Bandipora district has qualified the prestigious Union Public Service Commission’s (UPSC) Indian Statistical Service (ISS) examination, securing a place among the country’s top statisticians.
Sheikh’s success has been widely celebrated in his hometown, where locals described his achievement as a source of inspiration for Kashmiri youth aspiring to compete in national-level examinations. “It is a matter of great pride for our area. Anayat has shown that with dedication and discipline, our young generation can shine on the biggest platforms,” said one of the locals in Bandipora.
Family members of Sheikh expressed immense joy, saying that his years of hard work and perseverance had finally borne fruit. “He was always focused on studies and wanted to achieve something remarkable through civil services. Today, his dream has come true,” said a relative.
Well-wishers visited Sheikh’s home to congratulate him, stressing that his success should motivate more young people to take up competitive examinations seriously.
