Srinagar: 79 Bn CRPF organized a Tiranga Rally today i.e. 12/08/25 at 0730 hrs starting from Amar Singh Club, Sonwar to RK crossing-Aziz bridge-Diamond crossing-Gupkar Road in which 75 Officers/persl of unit u/c Sh. Sanjay Kumar, Commandant, 79 Bn as well as JKP persl from PS RM Bagh, SSB persl and civilians from Sonwar actively partcipated.
The aim of the Tiranga Yatra organized by 79 Bn is to foster a sense of patriotism, unity, and respect for the Indian national flag among citizens-especially in the run-up to Independence Day-and to honour the sacrifices of security personnel, while promoting national integration in a sensitive region.
The Tiranga Yatra is part of the broader “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign, which encourages citizens to hoist the Indian flag at their homes and workplaces, symbolizing personal and collective commitment to nation-building and national pride.
