Chadoora: A woman sustained injuries on Tuesday after being hit by a vehicle at Main Chowk Chadoora in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
According to locals present at the spot, the woman was struck while crossing the busy intersection, which witnesses say has seen frequent traffic congestion during peak hours. The impact left her with visible injuries, prompting immediate help from locals and passersby who rushed to assist her.
She was shifted to District Hospital Budgam for medical treatment. Hospital sources confirmed her admission and said doctors are examining the extent of her injuries. Her identity was not immediately available.
Police reached the site shortly after the incident and began preliminary inquiries.
Main Chowk Chadoora remains a high-traffic zone where locals have repeatedly demanded stricter traffic regulation to reduce such incidents. [KNT]
