Bandipora : Bandipora police taking the mission of ‘Drug-Free J&K’ a step further, have recovered a huge quantity of contraband substances from several parts of the district during the current year 2021.
The recovered drugs included Charas, Codeine , Sposmoproxyvan capsules, Diclomine & Sposmo, Tramafar and other narcotic and pyschotropic drugs valuing more than 13 Lakhs.
Moreover 20 persons were also arrested and 16 FIRs were registered against the accused persons in different police stations of the district.Also cultivation of contraband substances has also been destroyed in large quantities.
There has been a concerted action against drug trafficking on the directions of SSP Bandipora, which has resulted in the recovery of huge quantity of narcotics substances. Special Anti-narcotics squads have been set up in all police stations for taking swift action against drug traffickers.The drive would continue in future also.
Bandipora police appeals to people to desist from indulging in such activities otherwise strict action under law will be taken against the involved persons.
