Saudi prince Mansour killed in helicopter crash near Yemen border

Riyadh, Nov 6 : A Saudi prince, Mansour bin Muqrin, has been killed when the helicopter he was travelling in crashed near the border with Yemen, state television reported.

Prince Mansour bin Muqrin, the deputy governor of Asir province, was travelling with several officials when the helicopter crashed, Al-Ikhbariya news channel said.

Prince Mansour bin Muqrin is the son of another former crown prince.

The cause of the crash is unknown.
Saudi Arabia, however, said it had intercepted a ballistic missile, fired from Yemen, near Riyadh airport the day before, the BBC News reported.
