Police foils Hurriyat meeting at Geelani’s residence

SRINAGAR : Hurriyat today said that the police foiled a meeting called by Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani at his residence.

Hurriyat said that an increased deployment of police and CRPF men were deployed at the residence of Geelani who is undergoing house detention since 2010.

 “Forces did not allow anybody to enter the residence of Geelani,” a Hurriyat spokesman told adding police erected barricades on way leading to Geelani’s residence. “Hurriyat (G) spokesperson Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar told that police arrested most of its members ahead of the scheduled meet. (PTK)
