Para Trooper Injured In Kishtwar Gunfight, Operation On

Jammu: A para trooper was injured in an exchange of fire with terrorists on Wednesday morning in the forest area of Kalaban in Chatroo in Kishtwar district.

Official sources told GNS that in the intial exchange of fire with terrorists, one army para trooper sustained injuries. He was immediately shifted to command hospital Udhampur for further treatment.

Earlier, taking on to micro-blogging platform X, the army’s WhiteKnight Corps wrote, In an intelligence based operation, in concert with @jk_police, in early morning hours today, alert troops of #WhiteKnightCorps have established contact with terrorists in general area of Chhatru. Fire exchanged with terrorists. Operation is in progress.(GNS)
