IGP Kashmir issues promotion orders for 175 ASIs

Srinagar: After having been brought on promotion list “E” in terms of PHQ, J&K order No. 4347 of 2022 dated 31-12-2022 and 721 of 2025 dated 25-02-2025, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir V.K Birdi Saturday issued formal promotion orders in respect of 175 Assistant Sub-Inspectors of Executive Police, having their lien and seniority with Kashmir Zone to the rank of Sub-Inspectors.

As per a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), IGP Kashmir Zone has felicitated the promoted officers & their families and expressed hope that they will strive to work hard for upkeeping the public peace, tranquillity and law & order of the Union Territory of J&K—(KNO)
