Srinagar, Nov 6 :Police today claimed to have recovered cache of arms and ammunition from a hideout in Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a press conference at PS Ganderbal, Fayaz Ahmad Lone SSP Ganderbal said,
“A joint team of 24 Rashriya Rifles and SOG team of J&K Police recovered a cache of arms & ammunitions from a hideout in remote area of Ganderbal district,’’.
He said that acting on a tip off about a cache of weapons and other stores in Najwan Kangan area of the Ganderbal, the team launched search in the area.
“Methodical search of the area, led to major recovery of weapons and ammunition from the forest area belonging to LeT outfit ,’he added.
A case has been registered at police station Ganderbal and investigation is in progress, he added.
