Srinagar: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary on Saturday said that government is committed to delivering on its promises, without indulging in self-praise.
Speaking with reporters in Srinagar, the deputy chief minister, per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that they are committed to their word. “We won’t become miya mithu (self-appreciative). The work will speak for itself,” he said.
He made the comments after assessing the work on Nowgam flyover near cooperative colony bridge.
He said that those working relentlessly on the ground deserve acknowledgment for pushing the project forward despite years of delay.
He said that engineers and contractors deserve appreciation because they have been working continuously for months. “The deadline we have given is November 15 and the work is already underway,” he said—(KNO)
