Cloudburst Injures Minor, Kills Cattle in Jumagund Kupwara

Kupwara: A cloudburst wreaked havoc in different parts of Jumagund area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday evening, leaving one teenager injured and causing loss of livestock.

An official said that a 15-year-old boy, identified as Shahid Ahmad Raina, a resident of Banwali Jumagund, sustained injuries during the cloudburst. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where his condition is stated to be stable.

Meanwhile, reports said that several cattle, including a horse, were killed in the incident, adding to the distress of the affected families.

Authorities are assessing the damage caused by the sudden calamity. [KNT]
